Entry Level Electrical Engineer

Job Description

Design engineering solutions based on established engineering and quality principles.

Design electrical interface between the vehicle and customer specific systems.These systems may include Intelligent Transportation Systems, radio communication, surveillance systems, passenger detection, passenger infotainment, Wi-Fi and others.

Develop and implement test plans for new and existing designs, including validation of form/fit/function, electromagnetic interference, safety, reliability and system power consumption.

Collaborates and communicates with management, internal, and outsourced development partners regarding design status, project progress, and issue resolution

Review design output with customers and support customer acceptance inspections as it relates to electrical designs.

Interface with mechanical and Interiors team members to develop a fully integrated electrical system for customer specific configurations.

Support manufacturing when extensive troubleshooting of electrical systems is required.

Responsibilities may also include base vehicle electrical system design.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to effectively communicate product architectures, design proposals and negotiate options at all management levels.

Works on problems of diverse scopes where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.

Receives little instruction on day-to-day work, general instructions on new assignments.

Education and Experience

1-4 years experience in Engineering or related field.Internship in a related field is preferred.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $80000.00/hr.
