This is a hands-on position working on custom residential remodelsfrom finely crafted trim and built-ins to precision cabinetry installations. If you're a reliable, self-motivated professional who values quality and enjoys making clients happy, we want to hear from you.
About the Role:
As a Finish Carpenter at Maughan Design & Remodel, youll be responsible for the high-detail aspects of residential remodeling, including:
Installing interior and exterior doors, windows, and hardware
Crafting and installing custom cabinetry, shelving, and built-ins
Baseboard, crown, and specialty molding installation
Wainscoting, wall paneling, and architectural millwork
Stair rail and tread installation
Precision scribing and fitting of materials
Reading and interpreting detailed design plans and construction documents
Maintaining clean, organized, and professional job sites
Communicating clearly and knowledgeably with clients and team members
Qualifications:
5+ years of finish carpentry experience (remodeling experience preferred)
Mastery of trim, cabinetry, and interior finish techniques
Strong attention to detail and pride in craftsmanship
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Own tools and reliable transportation
Ability to lift and carry materials, work on ladders, and handle jobsite physical demands
Excellent problem-solving skills and adaptability in the field
Punctual, professional, and customer-service oriented
Nice-to-Have Skills:
Experience with custom cabinet fabrication or modification
Light drywall patching, tile setting, or painting skills
Basic electrical or plumbing for finish installations (e.g., setting fixtures or connecting appliances)
