WELDER / FABRICATOR - Full Time

Full-time position available for STEEL WELDER / FABRICATOR available at WESTERN SCALE CO. LIMITED, a BC manufacturer of industrial weighing systems since 1962.

Duties include:

- Reading and interpreting blue prints and shop drawings
- Assembling and fitting plates, profiles and sections to form structures
- Welding carbon steel (14GA to 2" plate)
- SMAW, MCAW, MIG welding processes
- Operating shop equipment (cranes, saw, iron worker, cutting torches, grinders, drill press, etc.)
- Maintaining all shop and personal equipment in good working order
- Communicate with co-workers in a positive and respectful manner
- Working with co-workers to maintain a safe working environment

This position is suitable for ticketed welders who have a good command of the English language and a valid BC driver's license. They should be able to demonstrate their ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well co-operate within a larger team. Attention to detail and maintaining a safe and organized work environment are key attributes.
