Job Description
Req 1: MECHANICAL ENGINEER 1 Location: Waukesha, WI (Onsite only)
Introduction:
CT engineering team is seeking a highly motivated Mechanical Engineer to assist the team in Installed Base engineering including effective assessment and investigation of field (customer), factory and supplier issues.
Job Description:
Investigate incoming field, factory or supplier issues, including part failures, assembly or component-level issues, part obsolecense issues, improvement opportunities, and cost reduction proposals
Assess, evaluate and respond to assigned Supplier Change Requests (SCR) with appropriate urgency to ensure no supplier or manufacturing downtime
Own and present thorough and rigorous Engineering Change Requests in compliance with GE HealthCare Work Instructions
Drive the development of prototypes, performance testing and design documentation as needed
Drive operational excellence of assigned designs, projects and rigor, with duties including design, project reviews, feasibility analysis, cost benefit analysis, prioritization, resourcing, initiation, execution and closure
Assist with meeting global regulations related material compliance as well as Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) initiatives
Tools/Technologies
Knowledge of standard drafting practices, product structuring, mechanical modeling and drawing practices, and engineering analysis techniques.
Experience with design tools: Creo/Windchill, Ansys, MyWorkshop
Working knowledge of mechanical fabrication technologies
Basic understanding/exposure to electrical engineering and design constraints related to electronics and electrical packaging
Excellent documentation skills
Required Qualifications

Simulation / analysis (Creo / Ansys FEA, stack up analysis) and testing in the lab.
