We are currently seeking a Research and Development Design Engineer to join a passionate team focused on advancing cancer treatment solutions through cutting-edge biotechnology.
Pay: Up to $58/hr. | Schedule: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and development of embolic coils with a focus on quality and performance.
- Apply mechanical design principles to create and optimize coil designs that balance multiple requirements.
- Develop detailed product design plans, including sequential and dependent testing strategies.
- Clearly communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Collaborate with R&D, marketing, and regulatory teams to drive project success.
- Manage expectations and maintain productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Perform testing and validation to ensure designs meet regulatory and clinical standards.
- Stay current with advancements in embolic coil technology and implement best practices.
- Gather user feedback by interfacing with physicians and cath lab personnel.
- Provide training and guidance to technicians and junior engineers as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree with 5-8 years of experience
- Master's degree with 3-6 years of experience
- Ph.D. with 1-3 years of experience
- Medical device industry experience required
