POSITION SUMMARY STATEMENT:
To perform preventive maintenance, electrical safety inspections, performance verification, and repairs on clinical equipment. Documentation of all work performed. Participate in safety and quality improvement programs as directed and to perform related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education, Experience or Equivalent Combination:
Minimum two-year degree or certificate in Biomedical Electronics, Electronics or related military or civilian training.
Four years' experience in clinical setting, or equivalent. Advanced degrees or experience in an adjacent field may substitute for experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of Biomedical Electronics.
Knowledge of maintenance and repair of patient monitoring systems.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with department managers, co-workers, outside agencies, clients, patients and the public.
Ability to perform basic electronic repair and electrical safety inspections.
Expertise in at least one area of Clinical Engineering.
Knowledge of computer use and Microsoft Office.
