Description

Larson is looking for an early career civil engineer to join our team in White Bear Lake, MN. You won't be stuck doing the same thing every day. You'll be involved in shaping our community, from designing sites for new businesses and schools to improving local sports fields. Our Civil Design Engineers are responsible for:

• Developing detailed project designs and construction documents with precision and efficiency, using the latest AutoCAD software.
• Crafting comprehensive plans for site grading, drainage, and erosion control to ensure project success.
• Contributing to the enhancement of outdoor athletic facilities through innovative design solutions.
• Conducting site observations during the construction phase which plays a crucial role in quality assurance.
• Collaborating effectively with the project team to ensure seamless communication.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited college or university.
• 2-4 years of hands-on experience in designing civil sites. (Entry-level candidates need at least a previous internship at a civil engineering firm.)
• EIT certification is required, or scheduled to take the FE exam shortly after the anticipated start date.
• Experience with AutoCAD and/or Civil 3D.
• Being familiar with office software like Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook is important too.
• Comfortable talking with clients and writing clearly.
• We need someone motivated and who pays attention to details.
• MnDOT certifications for asphalt, concrete, and gravel, as well as any experience you have working on construction sites and using surveying equipment, would be a bonus.
