Job Purpose: The Oil Spill Response (OSR) Aircraft Mechanic role exists to perform all scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks on modified Boeing 737-500 at Dynamic Aviation's base in Moses Lake, WA.

Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret maintenance manuals and FAA/manufacturer publications and directives to determine the feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components
  • Perform all scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on assigned aircraft or ground support equipment
  • Work with the team lead or manager on upcoming maintenance activities
  • Replace or repair worn, defective, or damaged components using hand tools, gauges, and testing equipment
  • Read and interpret pilots' discrepancies to diagnose cause
  • Assemble and install electrical, plumbing, mechanical, hydraulic, and structural components and accessories, using hand or power tools
  • Organize and maintain shop floor /environment from clutter or debris
  • Learn procedures and steps for higher level assignments
  • Complete required paperwork to comply with Federal Regulations and company procedures
  • Maintain parts inventory with aircraft and report all parts received from headquarters
  • Act as customer service representative with tasks as requested by management /pilots, assist pilots with aircraft servicing pre /post flight
  • Independently develop work schedules and assignments to accomplish job responsibilities
  • Deploy with the aircraft on spray operations/tests/demos as needed by the customer
  • Fly with the aircraft on spray missions as a spray system operator
  • Maintain the spray system in accordance with engineering documentation and FAA approved manuals
  • Ability to launch the plane in 3 hours or less in the event of a drill scenario or activation
  • Responsible for completing expense reports in a timely manner 14 days
  • Troubleshoot and repair systems (OEM and STC's)
  • Operate the spray system in the aircraft during low level spray flights
  • Other duties as required

Requirements:

  • FAA A&P certificate required
  • Minimum of 2+ years of heavy aircraft maintenance experience (Boeing 737 desired)
  • Avionics/electrical knowledge required
  • Relocation to Moses Lake, WA required (Maximum distance from KMWH 30 minutes)
  • Working hours are Monday through Friday (weekend & evening on call required as scheduled)
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Valid US Passport
  • Ability to travel away from home location for 30 days based on customer needs (longer if needed)
  • Good teamwork, communication, problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Computer skills with Microsoft Apps including email and submission of detailed maintenance and flight information. Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.
  • Ability to learn company specific software such as: Ceridian Dayforce, Chrome River, Deem, Pentagon, My Boeing Fleet
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Highly resourceful
  • Ability to:
  • Crawl in and out of tight spaces
  • Comfortably work at elevated heights of at least 30 feet for extended periods of time
  • Lift, balance and carry 75 lbs.
  • Work in enclosed hangars and exterior weather conditions
  • Work in austere conditions
  • Ability to sit in the cockpit jump seat for the duration of the flight in order to operate the aircraft spray system
