Maintenance Technician

Summary

To maintain existing buildings and equipment in a manner consistent to current building codes, ADA and CARF requirements. To construct any additional fixtures and maintenance needs to above requirements.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Install and maintain electrical, lighting and power circuits.
• Install and maintain plumbing for light industrial usage.
• Perform light carpentry, drywall and painting as needed.
• Follow sound preventive maintenance for all above equipment.
• Maintain knowledge of OSHA safety standards related to operations.
• Maintain adequate personal hand tools and inform supervisor when such are broken or lost.
• Other duties may be assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

• High School Diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
• Two years' experience in an industrial maintenance position preferred.
• Must possess excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to relate well with a broad spectrum of people; including consumers and employees.
• Ability to interpret documents such as safety rules, general business instructions, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.

Qualifications

Must maintain a valid driver's license and a driving record acceptable to Goodwill's liability insurance provider.

Must maintain the ability to pass a criminal background check and random drug screens.
