Carpenter Job Description We are seeking a skilled carpenter to participate in a 2-4 week project involving framing, light plumbing, painting, and carpet removal across various facilities onsite. Responsibilities Perform framing for pre-hung doors in existing hallways. Install pre-hung doors and carry out drywall installation and finishing. Paint and apply trim to enhance facility aesthetics. Upgrade and refresh office restrooms, including installation of linoleum or vinyl tiles. Conduct basic plumbing tasks such as toilet and sink removal/installation. Repair holes and dings in office walls, paint, and touch up trim. Repair or replace ceiling tiles as necessary. Replace carpet in designated areas. Install pre-hung metal doors for block houses, requiring adjustment and modification. Perform carpentry, plumbing, framing, and finish carpentry as needed. Essential Skills Experience in troubleshooting, hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical, mechanical, and industrial systems. Facilities experience is a must. Ability to work in ITAR-sensitive environments. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with framing, finish carpentry, and plumbing is advantageous. Work Environment This position is based on a 15-acre site off Pacific Highway, primarily contracted by the government for the next six years. The work environment is extremely dirty, dark, dingy, and sometimes wet and hot. Large bay doors remain open year-round, potentially causing cold conditions. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Tacoma, Washington. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
