Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Welder to join our team. The Welder will be responsible for fabricating and assembling metal structures and components by means of welding according to blueprints and technical specifications. This position demands attention to detail, physical stamina, mechanical aptitude, and adherence to safety and quality standards.

Primary Responsibilities

Pass internal welding certifications aligned with ISO, AAR, and other applicable regulatory standards

Retrieve materials and assemble/weld components into finished products per work order requirements

Set up welding components and equipment based on blueprints and measurements

Operate powered saws and angle grinders to cut and prepare materials

Interpret technical drawings, welding blueprints, assembly instructions, JSA's, and bills of material

Maintain welding proficiency in accordance with QSP 4.9 and relevant standards

Utilize measuring tools (e.g., tape measures, calipers, scales) to verify product dimensions and record inspection results

Operate various hand tools, pneumatic/electric grinders, impact wrenches, and overhead cranes for material handling

Perform work in compliance with all safety policies and procedures

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

Certified Welder (Mig, Stick, MMA, Tig preferred)

Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of fabrication techniques

Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints

Experience working in regulated, high-standards manufacturing environments

Physical and Essential Functions

Strength: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks including working in confined spaces

Motion: Capable of climbing, lifting, kneeling, walking, stooping, and working from heights over 6 ft using proper fall protection

Vision/Hearing: Exposure to welding arcs and high-noise environments requires use of PPE; must be able to read and follow written/verbal instructions

Environment: Work may be performed indoors or outdoors in non-temperature-controlled environments, with exposure to all weather elements

Emotional Demands: Must work effectively in a team environment to meet production goals and deadlines

Safety Sensitivity: This role involves working around live tracks and heavy equipment, requiring strict compliance with safety standards and procedures (e.g., Blue Flag Rules)

Pay Rate : 18.00
