DESCRIPTION OF WORK In this position, you will perform scheduled preventative maintenance on all HVAC units and assist in the installation of liquid petroleum and natural gas related equipment. Your duties will include installing new units and component parts, making adjustments, and repairing various types of HVAC systems. You can expect to identify and troubleshoot complex equipment malfunctions, perform diagnostics, and test equipment to ensure functionality. Additionally, you will prepare material lists of assigned jobs, maintain records of work performed and material utilized, and return any unused materials and equipment to stock. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: + Successful completion of the HVAC and Building Automation Technician trainee program (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration);or + Three years of experience in the maintenance, repair, and installation of HVAC and refrigeration systems, units, and equipment including one year working with commercial or industrial HVAC or refrigeration equipment and controls;or + An equivalent combination of experience and training which includes one year working with commercial or industrial HVAC or refrigeration equipment and controls. Special Requirements: + You must possess an active motor vehicle license. + You must obtain EPA Universal Refrigerant Transition and Recovery Certification from an approved provider within 6 months of employment.
