Electrician Industrial Mechanic

Repairs and maintains plastic molding machinery and electro-mechanical equipment such as motors, pneumatic tools, hydraulics, conveyor systems, electrical devices and production machines and equipment. Uses hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring and electrical testing equipment. Read blueprints, schematics, diagrams, and PLC troubleshooting.Responsibilities: Preform Electrical, mechanical and hydraulic related troubleshooting for variety of injection and Blow mold machines along with Downstream equipment such as strappers, wrappers, leak testers Perform routine preventive maintenance checks on all production equipment and machinery. Replaces or repairs parts on machines such as bearings, filters, cylinders, valves, motors and other electrical parts and equipment. Observes and listens to mechanical devices in operation to locate causes of trouble. Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts and examines form and texture of parts to detect imperfections. Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements. Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments. Repairs or replaces defective parts. Installs special functional and structural parts in devices. Initiates purchase order for parts and machines, lubricates, and cleans parts, start devices to test their performance. Required to participate in on-call program and may be required to work additional hours as required. Follows all safety rules and procedures and observes the operations to insure a safe environment.Requirements: High school diploma or preferred technical education at community college or university; plus, one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of training an experience. Full and complete understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, electricity, and PLC troubleshooting. Prefer Electrician's License, but not mandatory. Able to use Multimeter to diagnose electrical problems, replace heaters, thermocouple, hoses, and wires. Plumbing skills, working with chilled water systems Able to work independently and multitask to troubleshoot problems. Machine and Mold set- up, troubleshoots equipment failures, and perform repair and prevent maintenance services ensuring that all safety procedures are being followed. Must have strong electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic troubleshooting capability and ability to read and understand Electrical schematics and Hydraulics. Must have good working knowledge of all aspects of electrical controls, mechanical assembly, plumbing, and heating, ventilating and air conditioning related control systems. Read and interpret electrical control and mechanical assembly drawings, as well as service manuals for all equipment. Troubleshoot and repair both Electrical and Mechanical problems associated with Production and Facility equipment in a timely manner.
