Pipe Fitter Job Description We are seeking a skilled Pipe Fitter with experience in welding and blueprint reading to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assembling, installing, and maintaining piping systems for various projects. This role requires precision, technical expertise, and the ability to interpret and work from blueprints and technical drawings. Responsibilities Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine pipe layout and installation requirements. Cut, thread, bend, and assemble pipes using appropriate tools and techniques. Perform welding operations on pipes using TIG, MIG, or stick welding methods as required. Inspect and test piping systems for leaks, durability, and compliance with safety regulations. Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and other trades to ensure accurate and timely completion of projects. Follow safety protocols, industry standards, and company guidelines at all times. Troubleshoot piping issues and perform necessary repairs or modifications. Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition. Essential Skills Experience in pipe installation, fabrication, and fitting. Proficiency in soldering, brazing, and threading. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. Work Environment Work on commercial construction projects with a schedule of four 10-hour days, Monday through Thursday. The role involves project assignments in Columbia for a month, followed by relocation to another project for a month, and then returning to Columbia. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Columbia, Tennessee. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $32.00/hr.
