The successful candidatewill possess a can-do attitude, have a passion for and take pride intheir work, be a creative thinker, and have a willingness to collaboratewhile having the ability to work independently.**Annual Compensation:** \$70,000-80,000 based upon experience,certifications, and regional market standards.**Benefit Information**: Here**ENTRY-LEVEL CIVIL DESIGN ENGINEER ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:**- Plan and design a wide range of land development projects.- Perform engineering calculations or analyses.- Prepare drawings and graphics using CAD platforms and other graphics software such as Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.- Assist in preparing engineering reports, permit applications, bid documents and other typical written communication.- Perform construction observation to ensure conformance to design specifications, assist in resolving issues that arise and strengthen design skills through a greater understanding of construction means and methods.- Perform various types of engineering modeling tasks, potentially including: Hydraulic pipe sizing, pump station sizing, stormwater runoff calculations and modeling.- Prepare quantity takeoffs and opinions of probable construction cost for various design projects.- Analyze, review, and understand design guidelines, specifications, ordinances and rules and regulations associated with development and design.- Perform basic survey work, such as using a level to confirm elevations of existing site features.- Interact and communicate with office staff, design team members, contractors, regulatory officials and clients.**Additional Responsibilities:**- Desire to innovate and solve difficult problems from inception to final deliverable.- Ability to react quickly and calmly to high-pressure situations.- Ability to work independently and in team settings.- Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.- Other duties as assigned.**ENTRY-LEVEL CIVIL DESIGN ENGINEER ESSENTIAL CREDENTIALS:****Education:**- Bachelor s degree in civil engineering required.- EIT or EI Certification preferred.- 1-3 years of experience, required.**Qualifications:**- Experience with design and plan production in AutoCad Civil 3D, MicroStation, or equivalent.- Knowledge of local, state, and federal design standards.- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.LJB offers competitive compensation packages, which include paid timeoff, a 401(k), tuition reimbursement, flexibility, and mobility.
