CNC Machine Operator Job Description We are looking for a skilled CNC Machine Operator to perform machining on parts and tools. In this role, you will be responsible for operating more than one machine at a time, using blueprints and schematics to machine parts. The position requires the ability to lift up to 40 lbs and involves standing for the entire shift. Responsibilities Operate multiple CNC machines simultaneously. Perform intermediate level machining of parts and tools with limited supervision. Set up and operate all available machine tools, performing progressive machining operations on work involving close tolerances. Understand and apply the qualities of metals and alloys to parts being machined. Comprehend and use all forms of technical documents, including blueprints and drawings, written specifications, charts, and tables. Skillfully use all machinist hand tools and measuring instruments. Fit and assemble components as necessary. Set up and layout work from blueprints, sketches, and written specifications according to requirements. Maintain a track record of high-quality work with low rework and scrap history. Maintain high efficiencies and run rates for given machines. Work safely and as part of a high-performing team. Perform other duties as needed based on volume and high mix part runs. Essential Skills Proficiency in CNC and manual machine operation. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents. Experience with machining, assembly, and manufacturing processes. Knowledge of metals, alloys, and their properties. Experience with lathe and mill operations. Additional Skills & Qualifications Comfortable learning both manual and CNC equipment. Ability to read a tape measure accurately.
