The SSO courseconsists of up to three 26-week classes per year (~132 training dayseach) and includes mission-based simulator and classroom instruction for upto six students per class. The CCR, along with our government counterpart,will oversee curriculum delivery, instructor coordination, studenttracking, and simulator integration in support of Space Delta 8's training missThe CCR will directly support the 8th Training Squadron (8 TS), leadingthe execution of this course by applying deep MILSATCOM expertise,Instructional Systems Design (ISD) methodology, and advanced schedulingand simulator liaison capabilities.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS* Serve as the lead contract instructor and subject matter expert (SME)for the Satellite Systems Operator (SSO) course under Protected BandSATCOM operations.* Develop, review, and revise courseware in accordance with USSFdirectives and Delta 8 curriculum standards (MTL, RTM, ISD process).* Coordinate course scheduling, classroom reservations, simulator usage,and instructional resources.* Deliver instruction using both classroom and simulator-based trainingplatforms, ensuring students meet required qualifications and standards.* Track and document student performance and qualification progression usingPatriot Excalibur (PEX) or other training systems.* Collaborate with 8 TS leadership, government civilians, and othercontractor personnel to maintain alignment with curriculum milestones.* Provide liaison support for simulator issues and upgrades with vendors(e.g., Sonalyst, L3 Harris, WESS) and STARCOM.* Compile and deliver required monthly reports including student feedback,instructor progress, and after-action reviews.* Support cross-training of instructors to ensure instructional continuityacross all Protected Band courses.* Ensure compliance with OPSEC, CUI, and all relevant TS/SCI handlingprotocols.* Participate in periodic curriculum reviews, instructor qualificationevaluations, and quarterly Instructor Review Boards (IRBs).EDUCATION/TRAINING* Required: Associate's degree or equivalent military/ civilian training.* Completion of a recognized military instructor course.* Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Aerospace,Engineering, or other related technical disciplines.EXPERIENCE* Required:* 3+ years of ISD-based curriculum development experience in Space Operations.* 2+ years of dire t instructional or hands-on system training experience.* Expert knowledge of Protected Band MILSATCOM systems and operations.* MILSATCOM architecture and command structure.* Demonstrated leadership of small teams or coordination of training programs.* Familiarity with USSF command structures and training qualificationprocesses.* Preferred:* 2+ years of experience managing training programs or overseeing technicalcourse delivery.* Hands-on experience with SATCOM simulators such as WTCS, SST, or TTS.* Knowledge of communications topologies, including Ka, Ku, and X band design.* Demonstrated ability to navigate evolving space environments and proactivelyaddress knowledge gaps with new training material development.SKILLS/ABILITIES* Expert understanding of MILSATCOM operations and wideband communications.* Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint,SharePoint, Teams).* Effective communicator (verbal and written); capable of briefing,facilitating, and reporting to leadership.* Knowledge and understanding of the ADDIE model.* Skilled in PEX or similar training management platforms.* Ability to build collaborative relationships with government, military,and industry stakeholders.PHYSICAL DEMANDS* Must be abEqual employment opportunity, including veterans and individuals withdisabilities
