Millwright

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Journeyman Millwright with a minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience, preferably working in a papermill or paper converting environment. The ideal candidate will be proficient in troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing industrial equipment used in high-volume production settings.****Compensation: $40 - $50/hr, DOE****Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7 am - 3:30 pm, OT as needed****Location: Tacoma, WA** **Responsibilities:**- **Install, inspect, maintain, and repair mechanical systems and equipment commonly found in papermill or converting operations**- **Troubleshoot complex issues on slitters, rewinders, sheeters, cutters, conveyors, pumps, and other related machinery**- **Perform preventative and predictive maintenance to reduce downtime**- **Read and interpret mechanical blueprints, schematics, and layout plans**- **Align, level, and anchor machines using appropriate tools and precision measuring instruments**- **Fabricate or modify components as needed, including welding and machining tasks**- **Ensure all work complies with safety standards and operational procedures**- **Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to support production goals** **Requirements:**- **Minimum of 10 years of millwright experience in a papermill or paper converting facility**- **Journeyman Millwright certification or equivalent trade experience**- **In-depth knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics**- **Ability to work with minimal supervision and make sound decisions under pressure**- **Strong communication and documentation skills**- **Welding and fabrication experience strongly preferred**- **Availability to work overtime or weekends when needed** **Benefits:**- **On the contract-to-hire program, you will have access to a basic MEC plan** **TruFit Staffing is an equal opportunity employer and does not unlawfully discriminate on the basis of race, sex, age, color, religion, national origin, marital status, veteran status, sexual orientation, or any other basis prohibited by federal, state, or local law.
