AG Equipment Operator

Agricultural Equipment Operator is required to work with many different types of farm machinery forsoil preparation, crop planting, harvesting and grain processing. Worker will required to drive andcontrol farm equipment to till soil, seed/plant, fertilize, spray pesticides, cultivate and harvest smallgrain crops; and required maintain and make minor repairs on the equipment they operate.Mechanical skills and experience are required to drive a John Deere Green Star GPS and operateother farm equipment such as a Case air drill and scales in grain cart. The worker is also required toattach farm implements, such as plow, disc, sprayer, or harvester, to tractor, using bolts andmechanic's hand tools; load and unload grain truck manually or using conveyors, hand truck, forklift,or transfer auger; weigh grain-filled containers and record weights; and clean out grain bins. Minimalfencing to existing lines will be required along with facility and grounds maintenance. To work as anagriculture equipment operator requires physical coordination, decision-making ability, mechanicalaptitude and driving skills. The job entails working outdoors in all types of weather (extreme heat,cold, wind, dust, rain and snow). Worker must crouch, bend, lift and carry items weighing up to 100pounds. Wage and bonuses may be possible depending on experience.
