NOW HIRING: Millerbernd Manufacturing is hiring a Quality Control Supervisor to join our Circular Products team! The Quality Control Supervisor is responsible for providing leadership, management and accountability for the Quality Control department in alignment with the company's objectives and core values.
Job Title: Quality Control Supervisor
Location: Winsted, MN
Salary Range: $70,000 - $87,000 per year
(In compliance with Minnesota Pay Transparency Law, this range reflects the anticipated compensation for this role. Actual pay may vary based on experience, education, and other factors.)
Shift Schedule: 1st shift Monday - Friday Business Hours
Shift Differential: 1st shift - N/A
As a Quality Control Supervisor, you will:
Manages calibration of measuring instruments, test equipment and analyses their performance
Programming and operation of Faro Arm
Quality representative of Epicor Power User Group (PUG)
Conducts 8D root cause corrective actions
Tracking and reporting of quality metrics
Conducts and participates in non-conforming material meetings
Serve as point of contact for internal and external audits including AAR, AICS and OEM as well semi-annual EAA certification
Provide direction and ensure all team members are trained and cross train in accordance to work instructions/standard operating procedures and customer requirements.
Provides leadership to employees in department including: hiring, performance management, coaching, counseling and corrective actions
Conducts Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) 1st article inspection
Completes and maintains customer information requests
Plays active role in ensuring standards of Quality Management System (QMS)
Provides training and support to new employees during New Hire Orientation
Role Qualifications as a Quality Control Supervisor:
Bachelor's degree in Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing or related field
5+ years' quality management experience in a manufacturing environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience leading both internal and external audits is strongly preferred
Knowledge of quality system standards such as ISO 9001, AAR, etc.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret blue prints, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, presentations, and procedure manuals.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
Intermediate competency in Microsoft Office tools
Intermediate understanding of ERP systems
Strong project management skills
Perform root cause analysis to prevent reoccurrence of issues
Manages time well/able to work on multiple priorities simultaneously
