Jr. Civil Engineer - Akron, Ohio - JOB 25-01249Salary Range: $60K - $70K Permanent Position with Benefits.Akron area, Ohio design firm is seeking to hire a Junior Level Civil Engineer to assist with building envelope engineering design to include entire exterior shell of a building, including walls, roof, foundation, glazing, and curtain walls.REQUIREMENTS Recent graduate with a Bachelor Degree Civil Structural or Architectural 0 -- 5 years' work experience with basic structural engineering principles, structural engineering analysis to determine structural design loads, perform member analysis, calculate section properties, calculate allowable stresses. Operate computer software to provide calculations with close supervision. AUTOCAD proficient to support engineering and drafting projects & interpret architectural and structural drawings Check shop drawings against architectural / structural drawings. Review / check drawings for technical content. Provide field support such as field observations, shop assembly observations, manufacturer visits, testing observations. Detail oriented / Organized Knowledge of deadload/windload connections with an understanding of system movements due to thermal, live-load and dead-load and system air/water integrity is a strongly preferredCandidates are required to pass a Criminal Background Check and a 10 Panel Drug Screen.Only U.S. Citizens or persons with a Green Card work permit may apply.Due to the large amount of resumes we expect to receive only the most qualified candidates will be contacted.
