This job was posted by : For moreinformation, please see: **Overview**The Water Investment Division is seeking a highly organized individualwith engineering experience in the planning and construction ofmunicipal wastewater and stormwater improvements, strong people skills,and interest in helping municipalities improve their waterinfrastructure. This position will afford the right individual theopportunity to make a major contribution to help protect the environmentand is part of a growing engineering team that includes ProfessionalEngineers with many years of experience in water infrastructure.The position will provide engineering support for publicly fundedmunicipal and private sector projects to plan and construct wastewater,stormwater, and other water infrastructure improvements. The job dutieswill consist of reviewing and approving engineering reports, consultantagreements, construction contract documents, progress payments, andproject related certifications. This position will interact with federaland state funding partners, municipal officials, project owners,engineering consultants, and regulatory officials, and will providetechnical advice to other Department programs.Preference will be given to candidates with strong written and verbalcommunication skills, a demonstrated ability to manage publicly fundedprojects, and experience working with federal funds.The position is a limited service position that is funded throughDecember 31, 2026.## **Environmental Factors**Duties are largely performed in an office setting; however, some fieldtravel may be necessary for which private means of transportation mustbe available. Fieldwork may involve exposure to chemicals, gases,hazardous liquid and solid waste, and construction sites during allweather conditions; and may involve traversing rough terrain and bodiesof water. Some work outside of regular working hours, includingattendance at public meetings, may be required. Strong differences ofopinion may be encountered on a regular basis.
