Job Description:

This position is a Maintenance Mechanic role for a Printer Manufacturing Company. The position works a 12 hour shift 6pm-6am on a 2-2-3 schedule

Responsibilities:

  • Test mechanical products and equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturers' specifications.
  • Diagnose faults or malfunctions to determine required repairs, using engine diagnostic equipment such as computerized test equipment and calibration devices.
  • Clean, lubricate, and perform other routine maintenance work on equipment and vehicles.
  • Read and understand operating manuals, blueprints, and technical drawings.
  • Assemble gear systems, and align frames and gears.
  • Fit bearings to adjust, repair, or overhaul mobile mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.
  • Weld or solder broken parts and structural members, using electric or gas welders and soldering tools.
  • Clean parts by spraying them with grease solvent or immersing them in tanks of solvent.
  • Adjust, maintain, and repair or replace subassemblies, such as transmissions and crawler heads, using hand tools, jacks, and cranes.
  • Repair, rewire, and troubleshoot electrical systems.

Education: Associate Degree

  • Associates Degree in a Technical Field
  • OR 5 years experience in similar field

Experience: 60 months

  • Must be able to work from drawings, manufacturer specifications and wiring diagrams
  • Ability to use common precision measurement gages and equipment.
  • Proven knowledge of two or more specific maintenance trades such as electrical, mechanical, etc.
  • Technical knowledge of automated production machine equipment and maintenance required.
  • Experience with slitting and coating process preferable
  • Must be capable of working flexible hours to accommodate 24/7 manufacturing operations, including weekends, and on-call requirements
  • Reasoning ability
