Structural Engineer

Our client is seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to support the 25,000 sq ft expansion of their Daytona Beach, FL facility. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in commercial food-service or industrial facility design and be well-versed in Volusia County building codes, City of Daytona Beach permitting, local development review processes, and fee structures. Knowledge of lead times and regional best practices for smooth project delivery is essential.

responsibilities:

• Provide complete structural engineering services for the facility expansion, from schematic design through construction documents.
  
  
• Ensure compliance with Volusia County and City of Daytona building codes and zoning regulations.
  
  
• Coordinate with the architect, MEP engineers, and project manager to align design with operational and regulatory needs.
  
  
• Manage or assist in securing all necessary permits, ensuring timely submission and approvals.
  
  
• Provide insight on local fees, inspection requirements, and realistic timelines for permitting and construction.
  
  
• Offer construction-phase support, including responding to RFIs, reviewing submittals, and site visits as needed.
