Job Title : Associate Principal - Structural Engineering

Location : Los Angeles, CA

About the Role:
As an Associate Principal , you will lead large-scale structural projects, develop client relationships, and mentor rising talent. This is a strategic leadership position with significant influence over the firm's direction and success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage complex structural engineering projects from start to finish.
• Provide technical guidance on large, Type I construction projects (steel & concrete).
• Oversee and mentor engineers and BIM
• Build and expand strong client relationships.
• Collaborate with architects, contractors, and consultants to deliver innovative, cost-effective solutions.
• Contribute to business development and help secure new projects.
• Support the growth of future leaders within the firm.

Must-Have Qualifications:

• Experience: 12+ years in building structural design.
• Education: Master s degree in Structural Engineering .
• License: SE License (required).

Technical Expertise:

• Type I construction (steel & concrete structures).
• Design/detailing of large, complex structural systems across market sectors.
• Seismic evaluation and retrofit design ( ASCE 41 a plus ).
• Familiarity with DSA and HCAI/OSHPD regulations is a plus.
• Strong leadership with team and project oversight experience.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications:

• Specialized technical expertise or sector focus (e.g., healthcare, aviation, institutional ).
• Experience on high-rise, commercial, and large-scale infrastructure projects .
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
