Preconstruction Manager – Confidential General Contractor Location: Madison, WI Compensation: Competitive base + bonus | Full benefits package

A well-established general contractor is seeking a Preconstruction Manager to support large-scale industrial and manufacturing projects ranging from $100M–$200M . This is a confidential search being conducted by a third-party recruiter.

• Lead preconstruction efforts on complex, large-scale manufacturing and industrial projects

• Coordinate and manage estimating processes from conceptual budgeting through final proposal

• Develop detailed project estimates including take-offs, cost analysis, value engineering, and risk assessment

• Collaborate closely with design teams, engineers, and operations during the design-build process

• Work directly with project stakeholders, owners, and subcontractors to clarify scope, constructability, and cost impacts

• Provide accurate, detailed deliverables for executive review and client presentation

• 7+ years of experience in commercial construction estimating or preconstruction roles

• Proven background in design-build project delivery , preferably in manufacturing or industrial sectors

• Demonstrated experience with large-scale projects in the $100M–$200M+ range

• Strong understanding of construction systems, materials, and cost trends

• Ability to lead and coordinate preconstruction teams

• Proficiency with estimating software platforms and Excel

• Excellent communication and presentation skills
