Qualifying Questions:
1. Can you work any shift and any day?
2. Have you worked on commercial/Industrial plumbing equipment (Ex: toilets, urinals (not as important for Elec)
3. Are you competent on lighting repair and troubleshooting?
4. What voltages have you worked with and around? (Anything less that 480 we would want to not interview).
5. Have you worked with generators?
6. Can you read blueprints/diagrams?
7. Can you trace wiring?
8. Can you use Megger?
9. Have you worked in and with control equipment ( i.e. HVAC, Lift station)?
10. Can you or have you done concrete patch/repair?
11. Can you or have you drive forklift or man lift i.e., boom lift?
12. Do you have a valid drivers license, and will you continue to have one?

Our client, a leader in the industrial sector, is seeking an Industrial Electrician to join their team. As an Industrial Electrician, you will be part of the technical operations supporting various projects. The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Industrial Electrician

Location: Greer, South Carolina

What's the Job?

  • Measure, cut, and bend wire and conduit, using measuring instruments and hand tools.
  • Maintain tools, vehicles, and equipment, ensuring parts and supplies are organized.
  • Perform semi-skilled and unskilled labor related to the installation, maintenance, and repair of a variety of electrical systems and equipment.
  • Disassemble defective electrical equipment, replace worn parts, and reassemble using hand tools.
  • Examine electrical units for loose connections and broken insulation, tightening connections as necessary.

What's Needed?

  • High school diploma or GED required; technical degree or certification preferred.
  • 5-7 years of experience in electrical work.
  • Basic knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
  • Basic understanding of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in the production of technical plans and blueprints.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
