Job Title : Superintendent – Earthwork/Grading Construction

Job Overview : We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Earthwork/Grading Superintendent to oversee and manage all aspects of grading and site development projects. The Superintendent will be responsible for supervising field crews, coordinating equipment and materials, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, and in accordance with project specifications.

Key Responsibilities :

Manage daily field operations for earthwork and grading projects, including excavation, site prep, trenching, and backfilling.
Supervise and lead crews, subcontractors, and equipment operators to ensure efficient and safe job site performance.
Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and inspectors to meet project timelines and specifications.
Interpret plans, specifications, and grade stakes to guide work activities and ensure accuracy.
Monitor job site safety and enforce compliance with company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
Maintain detailed project records, including daily reports, equipment logs, and material usage.
Schedule equipment, deliveries, and manpower to meet project needs.
Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality control and resolve issues promptly.
Communicate effectively with all stakeholders including clients, vendors, and internal team members.

Qualifications :

Proven experience as a Superintendent or Foreman in earthwork, grading, or heavy civil construction.
In-depth knowledge of site development, mass grading, trenching, and erosion control.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, civil drawings, and survey stakes.
Strong leadership and organizational skills.
Working knowledge of GPS machine control and grade-checking tools is a plus.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
