Position Summary:

The Master Planner plays a critical role in aligning demand with manufacturing capacity while driving operational excellence in support of both production and engineering objectives. This role is responsible for the development and execution of the Master Production Schedule (MPS), with a strong focus on ERP system utilization and continuous improvement. A key responsibility includes planning and coordinating Engineering Development Builds (EDBs), ensuring timely availability of materials, resources, and documentation to support new product introductions and prototypes.

Key Responsibilities:

· Develop and manage a capacity-aligned Master Production Schedule (MPS) that meets customer demand, inventory targets, and production efficiency goals.

· Lead planning activities for Engineering Development Builds (EDBs), ensuring integration with production plans and alignment with R&D and engineering teams.

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including engineering, procurement, operations, and quality—to ensure successful execution of new product builds and changes.

· Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) and key contributor to ERP implementation and optimization efforts, ensuring planning data accuracy, process integration, and user training.

· Analyze supply and demand data to identify constraints, risks, and opportunities, and take corrective actions as needed.

· Monitor and adjust production schedules in response to changes in forecast, material availability, or manufacturing constraints.

· Coordinate with procurement and inventory control to ensure timely availability of materials for both production and development activities.

· Generate and present planning KPIs, including schedule adherence, forecast accuracy, and build performance.

· Drive continuous improvement in planning processes, tools, and communication workflows across departments.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business, or a related field.

· Minimum 5 years of experience in production planning or supply chain roles within a manufacturing environment.

· Proven experience supporting or leading ERP system implementation or upgrade projects (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics).

· Hands-on experience planning and executing Engineering Development Builds or new product introductions (NPIs).

· Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

· Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

· Proficiency in Excel and ERP/MRP systems; knowledge of advanced planning tools is a plus.

· APICS CPIM or CSCP certification preferred.
