Knife River is looking to add a Concrete Superintendent to our Tangent, OR location!
Role Overview:
This position is responsible to safely supervise, and coordinate activities of workers engaged in concrete construction. An ideal candidate would have prior experience managing concrete flatwork crews. This role will require strong supervision and leadership experience. Will need to display a professional and courteous attitude with customers and team members.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Assure all safety policies and procedures are followed to prevent all unsafe actions, processes, and behaviors.
Responsible for the direct supervision of daily work assignments and communicates with foremen to determine appropriate staffing and scheduling needs, materials and equipment requirements.
Monitors project performance and ensures that project is completed according to project specifications, and within project budget.
Communicating with project owners, architects, engineers, and contractors. Review jobsites to ensure they are ready for crews to begin work.
Review project details with project manager on a weekly basis and monitor work progress to meet project schedules and specifications.
Develop and manage master and three-week schedule for Concrete division.
Provide strong leadership skills by possessing the ability to motivate and provide mentorship to all employees, including setting performance standards and monitoring performance.
Assisting estimator with accurate knowledge of production and materials required for project.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 3+ years’ experience as a concrete supervisor, minimum of 5 years concrete flatwork experience preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Ability to bend, stoop, lift, push, pull and be on your feet for long periods of time.
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
- Assure all safety procedures are followed.
- Ability to work flexible shifts which include days, nights, some weekends and overtime.
- Valid Driver's license
