We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Shipper Receiver to join our dynamic team. This critical role ensures the efficient and accurate handling of inbound and outbound shipments to support smooth operations across the facility.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for the safe, efficient, and accurate operation of EPS molding and cutting machines, ensuring production goals, quality standards, and safety procedures are consistently met.

FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensure all work is performed with safety as the top priority.
• Operate molding machines, block molding machines, and cutting equipment according to standard operating procedures.
• Monitor machine performance, material feed, cycle times, and output quality throughout production shifts.
• Adjust machine settings to maintain product specifications and minimize material waste.
• Inspect finished products for conformance to specifications and report any defects or inconsistencies.
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of machines and workstations.
• Document production data accurately, including material usage, output volumes, and machine logs.
• Assist with mold changes, machine setups, and material preparation as needed.
• Collaborate with maintenance and quality control teams to resolve equipment or process issues promptly.
• Follow all plant safety regulations, PPE requirements, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free production environment.
• Participate in safety meetings and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support loading/unloading of molded blocks or products when required.
• Perform physical tasks such as lifting, stacking, and moving products.
• Train new machine operators and production helpers as required.
• Other duties as assigned by the Production Supervisor or Plant Manager.

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:

• Familiarity with EPS manufacturing equipment, including molding and cutting machines, is an asset.
• Ability to understand production drawings, machine settings, and technical instructions.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic math and computer skills for data entry and machine interface use.
• Understanding of workplace safety practices, WHMIS, and lockout/tagout procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior experience in a manufacturing production environment preferred.
• Forklift certification is an asset.
• Basic knowledge of production machinery and mechanical systems.
• Experience with shift work and meeting production targets is an asset.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Able to stand, walk, bend, and move for extended periods.
• Comfortable working in a warehouse or loading dock environment, including exposure to varying temperatures.
