Wanes Custom Woodworks Inc. is hiring a Project Manager with a strong background in architectural woodwork and commercial millwork. This position is ideal for someone who has spent time on the bench, understands the complexities of custom woodwork, and is experienced managing a project from drafting to deficiency free.

Responsibilities:
Manage custom architectural woodwork projects from shop drawings to deficiency free installation
Interpret architectural and conceptual drawings and convert them into ready to build shop drawings
Coordinate with designers, clients, trades, and in-house staff to ensure smooth progress
Ensure production aligns with schedule, scope, and quality expectations
Produce and review technical details, nesting files, and CNC output (Microvellum/ARDIS)
Communicate effectively and respectfully with all stakeholders
Remove roadblocks for others on the team and proactively solve problems
Maintain detailed records of commitments, deliverables, and project milestones
Deliver projects with zero deficiencies and high client satisfaction

What We're Looking For:
4+ years hands-on experience building commercial millwork in a professional shop (minimum 6-person shop preferred)
6+ years experience managing custom commercial millwork projects
Proficient with project planning, multitasking, and maintaining timelines
Skilled at interpreting design drawings and creating functional shop drawings
Working knowledge of AWMAC/NAAWS standards
Strong organizational systems and follow-through
Experience with Microvellum, Wood CAD/CAM, or Cabinet Vision (Microvellum & ARDIS preferred training provided if needed)
Familiar with CNC concepts: nesting, toolpaths, cut optimization, 4th-axis machining
Excellent communication and follow-up skills (calls, emails, and in-person)
Punctual, consistent, and team-oriented
Driven by the big picture: satisfied clients, clean drawings, and reliable project delivery

Our office and production facility are located on Norland Avenue in Burnaby, BC. Candidates must be able to reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work.
