Have you planned and overseen construction activities for multiple crews on road projects, stormwater maintenance, or demolition work? Prince William County is seeking a qualified individual to serve as a Maintenance and Operations Superintendent, overseeing two County construction crews as well as subcontractors.
About This Role:
This superintendent position will oversee two separate five-person crews performing various heavy construction tasks. Applicants must be able to read and build plans and specifications. The ability to anticipate constructability issues and potential conflicts is essential. Strong conflict resolution skills are required, both in managing personnel and in addressing utility conflicts on job sites. The ideal candidate will be able to coordinate and collaborate with engineering staff, surveyors, the Assistant Director, Field Supervisors, and subcontractors to ensure successful project completion. All work must be performed in compliance with OSHA regulations and applicable construction guidelines.
Minimum Requirements:
High School Diploma or G.E.D. and 7 years of related experience.
Preferences:
Supervisory experience; equipment fleet management experience; certification in Trenching and Excavation, Responsible Land Disturber, Confined Space, minimum of OSHA 10; chainsaw safety.
Special Requirements: Valid Drivers License
Work Schedule: 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM Monday through Friday, with possible on-call duty and occasional overtime on nights and weekends.
Starting Salary Range: $80,777.50 - $111,033.00
