Maintenance Supervisor

BULL MOOSE TUBE COMPANY, a progressive manufacturing organization has a Maintenance Supervisor opportunity for experienced leadership candidates at our Trumbull County Masury, Ohio plant site. Excellent benefits and compensation are available.

SUMMARY: Oversees maintenance and repairs of electrical, plumbing, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC), carpentry, painting, and other building systems.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Accomplishes maintenance staff results by:

• communicating job expectations,

• planning, monitoring, and appraising job results,

• training, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees, and

• initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.

• Maintains reporting procedures and shift production summaries.

• Ensures operation of equipment by calling for repairs and facilitating maintenance corrections to malfunctions within process.

• Implements cost reduction measures.

• Accomplishes work results by establishing priorities and resolving problems.

• Complies with all Company policies and procedures.

• Acts as a steward for safety regulations and the collective bargaining agreement.

• Reads and interprets manufacturer's equipment and lubrication recommendations.

• Performs required maintenance and repairs PM's and lubrication on all equipment.

• Ability to run all maintenance machinery such as lathes, presses, and grinders.

• Familiarity with PLC's, motor controls, sensors, limit switches and electro/mechanical systems, and 3-phase 480vt equipment.

• Complete knowledge of Company quality requirements.

• Complete knowledge of Company housekeeping rules.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Previous supervisory experience; preferably of a maintenance team.
• Excellent technical skills in machinery, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, microprocessors, PLCs, and electrical systems/equipment.
• Preventative maintenance and lean skills.
• Strong leadership, team, interpersonal and communication skills.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent years of experience.
• 5+ years of maintenance supervisory experience in a plant environment; preferably in metals, steel, or other related heavy industry.
