Forklift Operator and Material Handler** **Job Description** The role involves complying with established job safety practices, policies, and procedures in the plant, including PPE, ZES, and PIT/PED safety. You will be responsible for reading factory work orders and various shipping and receiving documents to understand customer requirements and processing information. The job includes monitoring conveyor take-off lines, removing units from the lines, loading units into trailers, and placing units in storage areas. This position is a full time role located in Beaverton, Oregon. Day and swing shift openings, hours are listed below! **Responsibilities** + Check load tags and unit counts to verify accuracy. + Inspect finished units during loading to ensure they are free from handling damage and straps are intact. + Accurately complete tally sheets to record units loaded into trailers. + Maintain well-organized paperwork. + Generate accurate bills of lading. + Deliver sheet and/or in-process units to production areas as required. + Maintain clean and organized work areas, storage areas, and aisles. + Sweep and clean trailers to ensure only clean trailers are used for products. + Take and maintain accurate inventories. + Perform receiving duties as needed. + Perform other duties as assigned by supervision. **Essential Skills** + Certified ability to safely operate a forklift. + Demonstrated success in safety, attendance, and quality of work. + Accurate use and reading of measuring devices. + Knowledge of general computer operation. + Ability to learn, follow instructions, ask questions, and work effectively as a team member. **Shifts** Day Shift Monday - Friday 6m - 2:30pm Swing Shift Monday - Friday 2:30pm - 10pm **Work Environment** The work environment is a very heavy-duty industrial setting with open bay doors for forklifts, which means it is not always climate-controlled. Inside the facility, there are various conveyor systems and machinery dedicated to breaking down and recycling paper and cardboard. Safety is paramount to ensure smooth operations. This environment may not be suitable for those unfamiliar with industrial facilities. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $21.95 - $21.95/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
