Carpenter Job Description We are seeking a skilled carpenter to join our team in the construction and repair of modular offices. These offices serve as vital workspaces for field supervisors and crews on various job sites. As part of our team, you will engage in tasks ranging from new construction to outfitting and repairs, contributing to our mission of delivering high-quality modular office solutions. Responsibilities Construct and assemble modular office units according to blueprints, ensuring accurate installation of walls, floors, ceilings, and other structural components. Measure, cut, and shape materials such as wood and plastic to precise specifications. Ensure all work adheres to building codes and safety regulations. Collaborate with tradespeople, including electricians and plumbers, to complete projects efficiently. Perform maintenance and repairs on existing modular office units. Maintain a clean and organized work environment. Strictly follow all safety protocols and procedures. Essential Skills Minimum of 2 years of experience as a carpenter in commercial or residential construction. Proficiency in using a tape measure and other carpentry tools. Reliable transportation. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. Strong mathematical skills for measuring and calculating dimensions. Good physical stamina and strength. Work Environment You will report to the shop in Halfmoon and work as part of a team of 6-8 production associates. The shift is Monday to Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm. The work involves both yard and covered trailer environments, with occasional fieldwork required. Dress code is practical for construction environments. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Halfmoon, New York. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
