Description
Position Summary:
Performs a variety of activities involved in coating and lamination of papers, films, and other materials according to established procedures. Primarily responsible for material loading/unloading, observation of machine run conditions and the manufacture of products meeting quality specifications. May be assigned to any entry position in the facility
Essential Functions:
Performs the duties consistent with the Coating function including, but not limited to:
Follows, and assists crew in following environmental, safety, and housekeeping procedures and/or regulations.
Ensures that the coater is producing a quality product.
Ensures that raw and finished materials are correctly and efficiently put on and taken off the coater.
Ensures that necessary paperwork is completed as assigned
Assists in working towards productivity and waste reduction standards.
Assists in machine changeovers and associated set-ups and clean-ups.
Reports faulty operations and/or defective materials to Operator and/or Shift Leader.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualification Requirements:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Education and/or Experience:
High School Diploma or GED. Must have at least 6 months Lift Truck experience or be able to pass a Lift Truck licensing test. Prior manufacturing or warehouse experience preferred.
Language Skills:
Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal forms within the plant.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to perform basic math functions.
Work Environment:
This position normally works on the production floor which is exposed to a wide range of temperature and humidity conditions; generally tracking ambient conditions. The noise level is high. Hearing, eye and foot protection are mandatory in the manufacturing area. Occasional work at elevated levels, platforms/catwalks is required.
