Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Mechanic to perform mechanical repairs on conveyor, bottling, and packaging systems. This role involves motor changes, troubleshooting and diagnosing faults, changing drives and belts, gearboxes, and conducting preventative maintenance. The primary responsibility is to field service calls throughout the facility, addressing issues like machine stoppage, changing bad cylinders, fixing photo eyes, and replacing chains. Responsibilities Perform mechanical repairs on conveyor, bottling, and packaging systems. Conduct motor changes and diagnose faults. Change drives, belts, and gearboxes. Perform preventative maintenance during designated cleaning windows. Field and respond to service calls throughout the facility. Troubleshoot and resolve issues such as machine stoppage, bad cylinders, and photo eyes. Replace chains and ensure smooth operation of equipment. Essential Skills Preventive maintenance expertise. Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics. Troubleshooting skills. Knowledge of gearboxes, motors, and three-phase motors. Proficiency with switches and conveyor systems. Ability to weld and interpret electrical schematics. Additional Skills & Qualifications Strong mechanical aptitude with a preference for an industrial maintenance background . Open to candidates with varying levels of experience; training provided for entry-level candidates. Must possess a basic set of tools. Ability to work one weekend day and have the option for two days off. Electrical experience is a plus. Experience in food manufacturing maintenance is advantageous. Work Environment The work environment consists of standard shifts on the 2nd (3pm-11pm) or 3rd (11pm-7am) shifts, with the potential to start on the 1st shift for the first 4-6 weeks. The facility maintains a cold but manageable temperature, typical of a food environment. The company has invested heavily in new equipment, ensuring a modern and efficient workspace. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Little Rock, Arkansas Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr.
