Concrete Construction Worker Job Description Join a leading company in the Concrete Industry as a Concrete Finisher/Form Carpenter in Frederick, MD. This role involves working on various concrete construction projects, ensuring precision and quality in building wooden forms and finishing concrete surfaces. Responsibilities Measure and mark cutting lines on materials using ruler, pencil, chalk, and marking gauge. Shape or cut materials to precise measurements and assemble boards, timber, or plywood to the necessary size. Build wooden forms in the shape of the structure, securing them with nails, bolts, screws, or anchor rods using hand tools, machines, or a power saw. Follow established safety rules and regulations to maintain a safe and clean environment. Study specifications in blueprints, sketches, or building plans to prepare project layout and determine dimensions, shape, design, and materials required. Remove damaged or defective parts or sections of wooden structures and repair or replace them using hand tools. Prepare the worksite for concrete; set steel and wooden forms for concrete. Place plastic concrete into forms and spread to specified depth, level, and straighten the surface. Provide a floated, trowelled, or textured surface as specified and cut joints to control cracking. Operate machines that speed production and semi-automate the placing and finishing process. Cure and protect concrete surfaces. Properly use dry pack grouting, epoxy coating, and other specialty products, anchor bolts, steel plates, door sills, and other inserts in freshly placed concrete. Install specialty concrete and apply architectural surface treatments such as hardeners, coloring, textures, or patterns. Saw, cut, or core drill existing concrete. Restore concrete surfaces; repair, resurface, and replace damaged sections of floors, walls, pavements, and other concrete structures. Train and instruct new team members. Assist site superintendent. Essential Skills Concrete finishing Concrete form carpentry Rebar 4+ years experience either finishing concrete or setting forms Concrete construction Additional Skills & Qualifications U.S. citizenship required Additional concrete experience is a plus Why Work Here?
