Asphalt Paving Superintendent Location: Springfield, Missouri Salary: $100k - $150k Position Summary The Asphalt Paving Superintendent will manage the daily operations of asphalt paving projects, ensuring safety, quality, and on-time completion. This position requires supervising crews, coordinating schedules and resources, and maintaining compliance with industry standards and project specifications. Key Responsibilities Oversee all phases of asphalt paving projects from start to finish. Lead and supervise paving crews, subcontractors, and laborers. Coordinate schedules, materials, equipment, and personnel to meet deadlines. Monitor workmanship to ensure quality and adherence to specifications. Conduct on-site inspections and resolve any issues that arise during operations. Enforce and promote safety protocols on the job site. Collaborate with project managers, inspectors, and other stakeholders. Maintain accurate project records, including daily logs, material tracking, and labor hours. Manage project costs and ensure adherence to budget. Qualifications Experience: Minimum 15 years of experience in asphalt paving. At least 5 years in a leadership or supervisory role overseeing paving crews. Knowledge & Skills: Strong understanding of asphalt paving techniques, equipment, and materials. Excellent leadership and communication skills. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical specifications. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools. Education: High school diploma or GED required.
