The Construction and Manufacturing Team is responsible for providing the field management personnel, from the craft worker to the Project Superintendent. The Construction and Manufacturing Team also provides the team member with logistical support; including but not limited to establishing per diem rates, company trucks for superintendents, and the coordination of arrival for team members as needed on the project. The Construction and Manufacturing Team provides continual training for our team members to support their development from entry-level craft workers, via in-house/online courses, to local jurisdiction apprenticeship programs. Strong networks are formed on construction projects because everyone on the team depends on each and every team member to get the job done.In this role, you will be responsible for the layout and fit of structural and miscellaneous fabricated products.Job Responsibilities:Selects equipment and plans layout, assembly, and welding, applying knowledge of geometry, physical properties of metal machining weld shrinkage, and welding techniques* Lays out, positions, aligns, and fits components together* Bolts, clamps, and tack-welds parts to secure in position for welding* Sets up equipment and welds parts, using arc, gas-shielded arc, submerged arc, or gas welding equipment.* May assemble parts by bolting* May repair products by dismantling, straightening, reshaping, and reassembling parts, using a cutting torch, straightening press, and hand-toolsEducation/Experience:* 4 years of experience* Certification in Tack Welding required* Prefer Welding Certification in 3G positionSpecific Knowledge, Skills, License, Certifications:* Rate information using standards that can be measured or checked* Work within precise limits or standards of accuracy* Look at flat drawings, pictures, and blueprints and visualize how they would look as solid objects with height, width, and depth* See detail in objects or drawings and recognize slight differences in shapes or shadings* Work easily and skillfully with hands* Ability to read shop drawings* Ability to comprehend weld procedures and weld symbols* Regular attendance, prompt and dependable* Ability to carry out detailed written or verbal instructions independently* Ability to perform moderate physical work, may be required to lift up to 100 pounds occasionally, up to 50 pounds frequently, and up to 20 pounds constantly, climbing up on and balance on ladders, scaffolding, or stairs; performing such activities as...
