The program manager position leverages Subject Matter Expertise to shape strategy and drive organizational success across the enterprise. By turning data into actionable insights, the program manager ensures performance is tracked, analyzed, and used to fuel continuous improvement. The position empowers education, fosters innovation through PDSA cycles, ensures compliance with CMS standards, and oversees key program management tasksall while championing excellence and proactive problem-solving across the organization. Required Qualifications: Four (4) year clinical degree (or RN) with recent, relevant clinical experience in a healthcare setting Minimum of five (5) years clinical experience; knowledge of the complexity of healthcare processes Demonstrable skill in teaching, coaching and influencing leaders; ability to influence upward, across and down with skill, grace and humor and without formal authority Change leadership experience; willing to take risks, challenge the status quo and work under ambiguous circumstances Intellectually, emotionally and logically capable and confident; has the wisdom, intelligence and stature to quickly gain credibility and become a trusted advisor to caregivers Demonstrated respect for people; demonstrated strong collaboration and team building skills Experience leading large teams of diverse clinical and non-clinical backgrounds Proven track record of executing measurable process improvement and successful change management Strong written and oral communication, facilitation and presentation skills Proficient with meeting management and limited project management Competent in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, statistical software Demonstrated ability to analyze and transform data into meaningful information Preferred Qualifications: Subject Matter Expertise in Patient Safety principles, practices and methods Lean or Six Sigma Certification Experience applying knowledge of improvement tools and methodologies Duties and Responsibilities: In collaboration with leadership, establish a planned, systematic, and organization-wide Patient Safety Program; aimed at reducing patient harm and improving patient safety Serves as the organizational Patient Safety Officer Provide Subject Matter Expertise to inform Strategy and Organizational Goals Quantify performance into key metrics from a variety of sources that paint a picture and create a compelling reason for action Ensure data on key aspects of subject matter is collected, analyzed, tracked and trended Escalate immediate action issues appropriately to operational owner(s); stopping the line in predefined instances agreed upon by operational executives Identify, establish and support educational programs that support the advancement of excellence within patient safety Within the area of expertise, ensuring active and rigorous PDSA cycles designed to drive patient safety include solutions that are linked logically to root cause analysis Understand organizational compliance with the CMS conditions of participation Complete Administrative requirements associated with successful program management All SJRMC Employees are responsible for implementing SJRMC's Service Standards into their activities: Safety, Courtesy, Effectiveness, and Stewardship Other duties as assigned Physical Demands and Environmental Work Conditions: Primarily in an office environment with daily inclusion in multiple operational environments Prolonged sitting, standing, walking, and looking at a computer screen Management of multiple tasks while balancing competing priorities Frequent interruptions Moderate noise level As you go about fulfilling this mission, your work habits and work relationships should embody SJRMC's values.
