Spherion Altoona is working with a client in their search to fill a 1st Shift, Concrete Form Carpenter position in Altoona, PA. The pay rate is $22.00 to $27.00 HOURLY. This is a DIRECT HIRE roleyoull be hired straight on with the company! Great pay, stable work, and room to grow.

Construct, erect, install, or repair structures and concrete forms; building frameworks, including partitions, joists, studding, and rafters; and wood stairways, window and door frames, and hardwood floors. May also install cabinets, siding, drywall, and batt or roll insulation. Includes brattice builders who build doors or brattices (ventilation walls or partitions) in underground passageways.

Responsibilities:

• Form Carpenters are responsible for assembling and installing concrete formwork with a focus on safety, quality, and precision.
• Candidates should be experienced in concrete carpentry, able to work independently, and committed to teamwork and attention to detail.
• At least two years of Form carpentry experience is preferred
• Ability to read blueprints
• Comfortable working in various weather conditions
• Ability to frequently stand, walk, sit, stoop, crouch, and reach with hands
• Capable of safely lifting up to 60lbs and climbing ladders/stairs
• Maintains a strong focus on safety at all times
• Possesses strong verbal communication skills
