Leading EPC construction firm in Houston, TX is looking to add an Assistant Construction Manager to the team. In this role, you will play a vital supporting role in the day-to-day management and execution of diverse construction and EPC projects. You'll work alongside experienced Project Managers, Site Managers, and Program Managers, gaining invaluable exposure to various aspects of project lifecycle in high-impact sectors like energy, power, heavy industrial, oil & gas, and transmission & substation. Must be open to domestic travel for projects as needed.

responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the Project Management team to build client relationships while interfacing with the client for proposal and project related items.

  • Coordinate and assist in the development and implementation of the Project Execution Plan, Quality Assurance Plan, Safety & Health Plan, Subcontracting Plan, Project Staffing Plan, Organization Chart, and Procurement Plan.

  • Prepare Request for Proposal (RFP), support detailed scope of work development, bid and selection process, creation of contract documents for the purpose of subcontractor and client contractor selection and award.

  • Support the implementation of project specifications, drawing releases, and design changes.

  • Execute downstream contract administration, including Request for Information (RFI's), submittals, meeting minutes, change management, and claims mitigation. PREFERRED

  • Procore Experience is a plus

  • Must be willing to travel for projects as needed
