Electrical Engineer

Electrical Engineer located near Kendallville, IN for a leading manufacturer for the automotive industry. This role is responsible to oversees the installation, repair, and maintenance of plant electrical systems.

Required qualifications:

• B.S. degree in Engineering (Electrical or Mechanical Engineering is ideal)
  
  
• Must have electrical troubleshooting experience within a manufacturing environment (Automotive experience is ideal)
  
  
• Working knowledge of NEC
  
  
• Knowledge of electrical components and electrical code
  
  
• Hands-on troubleshooting approach to problem solving and analysis

responsibilities:

• Oversee the installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical systems
  
  
• Troubleshoot issues, test existing equipment, and determine if components need to be upgraded or replaced
  
  
• Inspection of switches, motors, panel boards, and other parts of the industrial electrical system
  
  
• Examination of the root cause(s) for system failures and determining the necessity to make temporary or permanent equipment repairs
  
  
• Manage plant utilities, monitor usage, and implement methods to reduce cost
  
  
• Design and specify new equipment as well as modifications for existing equipment
  
  
• Perform preventative maintenance on electrical systems and components
