Job Title : Jobsite Superintendent (Miscellaneous Metals Installation)

We are currently seeking a skilled and dependable Jobsite Superintendent to oversee field installation operations in the Washington, DC area .
Position Summary The Jobsite Superintendent will lead and manage the on-site installation of miscellaneous metal systems, ensuring work is completed safely, on time, and to specification. This position plays a critical role in daily jobsite management, coordination with subcontractors, and communication with clients and general contractors. The ideal candidate has a strong construction background, especially in the installation of miscellaneous metals, and thrives in a fast-paced, detail-oriented field environment.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee on-site installation of miscellaneous metals, including stairs, railings, and structural components
Ensure installations comply with project drawings, specifications, and quality standards
Coordinate scheduling and field activities with project managers, subcontractors, and site teams
Supervise installation crews, assign tasks, and ensure safe and efficient execution of work
Review and interpret shop drawings and resolve any installation discrepancies
Conduct regular site inspections for progress, safety, and quality control
Serve as the primary on-site contact for clients, general contractors, and other stakeholders
Maintain project schedules and ensure alignment with construction timelines
Manage deliveries and ensure proper handling and staging of materials on site
Lead safety meetings, enforce OSHA standards, and maintain a clean, hazard-free jobsite
Document daily jobsite activities, issues, and changes, and report to the project team
Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years of experience in jobsite supervision or field installation of miscellaneous metals (not fabrication)
Strong understanding of metal installation methods for commercial construction projects
Experience reading and interpreting construction drawings and shop drawings
Effective leadership and crew management skills
Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
Familiarity with construction management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam) and Microsoft Office
In-depth knowledge of OSHA standards and safety enforcement on active construction sites
Ability to work full-time on project sites in the Washington, DC metro area
