  • Ensure the Safety of the Equipment
    • Follow all safety procedures and protocols for maintenance and operation of processing equipment, rolling stock equipment, power tools, and facility including physical plant systems and equipment.
      • Lockout /Tag out Procedures
      • Confined Space Procedures
      • Machine Guarding Procedures
      • Hazardous Materials Management
  • Preventative Maintenance Procedures for all Process Equipment in accordance with procedures of equipment Operations and Maintenance Manuals.
    • Need to perform stick and wire fabricate and welding repairs as need it.
    • Must have basic knowledge hydraulics and be able to read schematics.
    • Need to have a working knowledge of use and disposal of hazardous materials.
  • Oversee Operation of Equipment
    • Make sure that the preventive maintenance schedule is followed.
    • Operate equipment as needed for plant operations
    • Report any problems to supervisor.
  • Willingly and effectively cooperates with OTC, The Department of Human Services, The Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD), and other licensing or state agency or local municipalities in any inspections and investigations, upon request.
  • Other Duties as Requested
  • High school education or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years experience in repairing machinery, including hydraulics, electrical, and computerized, as well as general maintenance skills.
  • Demonstrated ability for record keeping.
  • Demonstrated ability to follow directions.
  • Able to work with minimum supervision
  • Must have a valid drivers license
  • Acceptable safety record.
  • Additional experience may be substituted for education.
  • Shift is 3pm-11pm

NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Because this job is considered safety sensitive, a drug screen test will be required prior to employment, and at a random basis thereafter.
  • Employee must be willing to submit to a criminal background check and determined to not be disqualified by the Department of Human Services (DHS) prior to working with individuals served.
  • Employee should agree to have their name verified against the Central Registry of offenders against individuals with developmental disabilities.
