Job Description The Electrical Project Manager is responsible for generating business, managing electrical and specialty systems construction projects, and overseeing field staff. This role ensures projects are completed safely, profitably, on time, and meet customer expectations. Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and staff electrical construction projects.
- Ensure projects are completed safely, profitably, timely, and to high-quality standards.
- Manage all aspects of project documentation, including submittals, RFIs, and project meeting minutes.
- Supervise and direct overall project activities, including planning, coordinating, resolving problems, and maintaining company/project policies, procedures, and standards.
- Maintain all change order, submit and document control logs. Prepare logs and other project documentation for construction meetings.
- Ensure accurate and timely contract submittals.
- Create and issue Subcontractors contracts.
- Assemble and deliver Owner and Maintenance Manuals promptly.
- Ensure that the project control plan is in effect and followed.
- Interact with Subcontractors to ensure correct documentation and drawings for Owner and Maintenance Manuals are obtained.
- Keep Warranty logs updated.
- Represent the company/project in meetings with clients and subcontractors.
- Cooperate with and provide technical assistance to field personnel.
- Monitor other contractors activities and progress.
- Create Job Information Sheets and establish Job Files.
- Prepare price change orders, project reports, and documentation.
- Work with payroll to ensure accurate payroll information.

- Electrical and low voltage systems expertise
- Familiarity with Electrical Codes, Life Safety Codes, NFPA, Uniform Building Codes, and Lighting Systems
- MS Office proficiency
- Bachelors degree in Engineering, Electrical Engineering preferred, Construction Management, or related field. Applicable experience may be substituted for the degree requirement OR 5 years experience as an electrical project manager.
- Basic proficiency in accounting, general office software, and business development processes.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to perform detail-oriented work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
