Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
- Create a measurable method for increasing the Estimator Proficiency.
- Perform walkdowns.
- Review schedules and assess material needs to develop a project cost estimate.
- Interface with managers and other departments to ensure timely and accurate reporting of project estimates.
- Conduct financial analysis including comprehensive project cost estimation and budget development.
- Collect and analyze data to estimate project expenses.
- Convert project estimates to control budgets in adherence to applicable account codes and work breakdown structure.
- Evaluate cost data, physical progress metrics, and scheduling information to forecast the financial trajectory of the project.
- Develop annual expenditure budgets and analyze project risk registers to determine appropriate contingency measures.
- Create reports of detailed estimates and project budgets for nuclear projects.
- Perform final analysis during project closeout.
- Perform primarily office and non-manual work.
- Perform work related to the management or general business operations of MATRIX or its customers/clients, while exercising discretion and independent judgment with respect to matters of significance to MATRIX and its customers/clients.
- Use lessons learned to improve quality of MATRIXs future projects; make recommendations to MATRIX as to the implementations of future policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- 15+ years of experience within estimating.
- Strong leadership experience with the ability to mentor and develop a high-performing estimating team.
- WinEst experience is required.
- Strong background in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.

- The employee is self-motivated and has a willingness to learn.
- Familiar with a variety of the fields concepts, practices, and procedures.
- A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
- Able to handle high paced work environment.
- The ability to communicate well with customers and other Matrix and customer/client employees.
- Must be dependable.
- Must have proficient computer skills.
