As a Mechanic III you will:
- Maintain, troubleshoot, diagnosis, repair, replace or install mechanical systems such as heating, cooling, ventilating, piping systems, fire protection systems, temperature control systems, control valves, and dining equipment.
- Maintain, troubleshoot, diagnosis, repair, replace or install plumbing systems ie: Water heaters, water softeners, heat exchangers, supply, recirculating, drain, vent and sewer lines.
- Maintain, troubleshoot, diagnosis, repair, replace and/or install Food service equipment.
- Maintain, troubleshoot, diagnosis, repair, replace and/or install Hardware/Appliances i.e.: electronic door locks, door operators, door/window repair, Refrigerators, Stoves, Washers, Dryers, etc.
- Respond to emergencies and after-hours calls.
In addition, this position will:
- Provide input, planning, research, design, leadership and supervision (as needed) on special projects, new construction, and renovation projects.
- Read and interpret construction drawings and plans to determine equipment, materials and appropriate installation methods.
- Collaborate with outside vendors as needed.
- Ensure compliance with all codes and regulatory guidelines and requirements.
- Maintain cleanliness and neatness of work areas assigned.
- Maintain documentation including records and reports.

Minimum Required Qualifications:
Associate's degree or relevant experience in one or more of the listed trades as well as four years of general maintenance experience or equivalency in one or more of the desired trades :- HVAC
- Plumbing
Must have a valid driver's license and meet University driver eligibility requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Technical Degree or certification in HVAC and/or Plumbing
- Journeyman level experience
- Experience in multiple trades i.e.: plumbing, HVAC, electrical
- Supervisory/Lead experience
- Refrigeration license preferred. Will be required within one year of hire.
Posted Salary: $26.021/hr minimum
